Role: Head of Talent Acquisition (Southeast Asia & Australia)

As the Head of Talent Acquisition, you will be in charge of running the function across Southeast Asia and Australia, and reporting directly to the Executive Director of APAC. You are a true specialist in the talent acquisition field and will become an influential and key business partner for senior executives in our organization.

This is an incredible opportunity to make direct decisions daily that impact the success of the organization and your people, while being responsible for defining and executing our recruitment strategy as we scale the company.

Your overarching goal is to ensure Meltwater attracts, hires and retains the best talent available, advising and building a close relationship with your business partners, and ensuring the growth of your team members.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and implement Meltwater’s hiring strategy across Southeast Asia and Australia for our sales and professional services departments
  • Perform full-cycle recruiting for open positions from job postings, screening, LinkedIn outreach, interviewing, offer negotiation, etc, and coordinating effectively between candidates and hiring managers
  • Utilize your sales skills to entice high potential candidates to seek a career at Meltwater and guide them through our hiring process
  • Provide an outstanding positive candidate experience, from initial introductions to onboarding
  • Manage and develop a team of Talent Acquisition members - you will be a leader with vision to the team, motivated by their success and excited to groom them up
  • Be a true Talent Partner to your business units - not just execute, but also consult, advice, coach, your stakeholders accordingly
  • Constantly review, audit and improve our hiring process to ensure effective processes and that we stay updated with the best practices in the market
  • Manage our recruitment ATS and other TA assets in a structured and timely manner
  • Develop and maintain a continually stocked pipeline of quality talent through various channels
  • Analyze key recruitment metrics to identify areas of improvement and provide data-driven recommendations to improve outcomes
  • Think creatively about how to source, connect and engage with passive candidates in the market through unique tools, sites and events
  • Expand and grow our employer brand through various initiatives and projects

Who You Are:

  • Currently based in Singapore or Australia, with 7 – 10 years of full-cycle talent acquisition experience in preferably both Singapore and Australia market
  • A natural leader and a people person, someone who derives fulfilment by lifting others to be successful
  • A sense of urgency to achieve hiring goals within deadlines, without sacrificing candidate experience and quality
  • Successful track record of delivering on aggressive hiring goals
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity, and committed to developing your team members to their full potential
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and fluent in written & spoken English
  • Self-motivated, highly adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast changing and fluid environment, while effectively handling multiple demands and competing priorities
  • You believe in meticulous candidate notes, streamlined and tight hiring processes, and know that stringent database hygiene leads to accurate reporting
  • Confident networker with the ability to quickly establish relationships with senior leaders and candidates alike, and skilled in managing expectations of multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to track and churn out recruitment metrics and data points to validate recommendations
  • LinkedIn Recruiter expertise is highly desired
  • Experience with employer branding is a plus
