Sales business function is responsible for growing Basware's cloud revenue via new customer acquisition and by driving expansion within a satisfied customer base. Through customer-centric selling and collaborative account management we lead prospects & customers through the buying process with Basware, leveraging sales platforms including CRM, CPQ and CLM that support managing the sales cycle.

BASWARE, an established high growth tech company operating in 14 countries around the globe seeks a skilled and experienced sales Senior Presales Consultant for our Global Presales team to support the direct and indirect sales channel to achieve their sales targets. The job will be based in our Charlotte headquarters location or your home office location within the US.

You will be responsible for different presales activities in primarily the North America market. In addition to working closely with local sales and other teams, you will also be part of the highly motivated global specialist team supporting all Basware countries. Responsibilities include presenting the value of Basware solutions to business and C-level users, along with deep dive technical and security discussions with their IT and security teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Building competitive proposals and presentations, and supporting RFP responses
  • Performing powerful solution demonstrations and technical/security presentations
  • Acting as a business advisor for our customers and prospects and their purchase-to-pay processes during the sales cycle
  • Proactive knowledge transfer, communication and training
  • Supporting partner management in ramping up of new partners
  • Acting as local extended arm of Basware global Product Management to ensure product roadmap competitiveness and communication
  • Support for solution design & proof phases of the sales cycle for networked Source-to-Pay solutions
  • Contribute to the internal bid qualification process and member of the local bid committee
  • Calculating and presenting customer ROI on Basware solutions
  • Independently delivering customer Success Lab workshops on best practice P2P solutions
  • In addition to sales related activities, you will provide support to Marketing lead generation and be engaged in providing expertise support for marketing events

Skills & Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of successful experience in one of the following fields: Presales, Business Consulting, Product Management, Sales Specialist, or AP or Procurement role
  • Well versed in applying multidisciplinary skills such as customer focus, value selling, solution and process orientation as well as a strong functional / technical understanding
  • Skilled in aligning solutions according to industry trends
  • Strong Business acumen with the ability to handle complex business challenges
  • Experienced in identifying, qualifying and managing opportunities and driving proposals

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors’ degree required with preferred degrees in either IT, Computer Science, Economics or Commercial.

PERSONAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Passionate, driven self-starter with a stable track record of progressive achievement within companies, with increasing responsibility
  • Personable, with strong communication, presentation, selling, and negotiation skills, including the ability to overcome objections, negotiate and close
  • Highly collaborative approach, skilled in working in matrix organization with globally distributed teams
  • Utilizes coaching and mentoring to establish strategy and execution
  • Must be fluent in English, both written and oral to business standard
  • Ability to travel (according to guidelines)
