We are looking for a driven Traceability & Digitalisation Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our passionate Industrialisation team based in Stockholm, Sweden.  By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing our strategy for product traceability and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.  

About the job
Digitalisation is a key enabler for a state-of-the-art production of our upcoming products with various systems covering all phases of the product development lifecycle. The Traceability & Digitalisation Engineer will identify the needs for systems/app support, define the requirements, select the tools, customise and maintain them. For those tasks you will be the spearhead of the manufacturing department and the point of contact to our IT organisation.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Be the spearhead of Manufacturing teams IT activities and the interface to the IT organisation of Northvolt
  • Take end-to-end ownership for the method support of traceability and documentation – from concept to verification during the ramp up
  • Key user for product lifecycle management in the manufacturing department. Define Manufacturing-BoM, functional breakdown and Bill of processes and shape related work flows to enable a dynamic and lean collaboration with clear responsibilities
  • Select and customise digital tools and methods to support the whole manufacturing team with efficient PLM, simulation and cloud applications
  • Ensure a interface between our different systems, the equipment and the operational ERP for a seamless digital handover
  • Define requirements for, select and maintain a manufacturing execution system for the prototyping activities.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform at this level
  • 3+ years of experience with manufacturing related applications as MES, PLM(Teamcenter) and simulation tools as well as Jira
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment working with relatedd applications such as MES, PLM, simulation tools, and Jira.
  • Agile Project management experience
