Electrical NPI Engineer - Northvolt Systems

We are looking for a driven Electrical NPI Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our Industrialisation team based in Stockholm, Sweden. By joining us, you will be a key player in Industrialising the production of our Battery Systems products and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.
About the job
We are simultaneously developing new products for our customers as well as manufacturing processes, equipment and factories at a fast pace. A key role in realizing our products is the New Product Introduction Engineer, who will be working on those cross functional interfaces from early concept phases and prototype samples to serial production.
Owning the electrical aspects of the introduction of new components and materials into our manufacturing processes you are one of the key enablers for an efficient implementation of our new products in the factories. This includes electrical testing, ESD as well as electrical safety during all our assembly processes.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead the introduction of new products, components and materials - from early-stage development to release of full scale serial production
- Be the responsible driver for DfM(A) process - shaping the product for lean and robust manufacturing
- Own change management end-to-end within manufacturing from evaluation in cross-functional-teams to sign off after a successful implementation.
- Ensure electrical safety during the whole assembly process by influencing product design and manufacturing process and creating safe assembly procedures
- Validate and trouble shoot electrical tests with the help of skilled technicians during prototype builds and ramp up
- Act as the link between the design departments and the operational team, overseeing the product development and ensuring a successful new product introduction

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have :
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform at this level
- 2+ years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering within a manufacturing context
- Knowledge electrical testing and validation processes
- Experience in DfM(A) and in relevant manufacturing processes
- Advanced PLM software knowledge
- Willingness to travel to our factories
- Basic project management skills, proactive personality, and the ability to prioritize and selectively dive into the most important details
