The main responsibility of the VP of Sales and Country Manager is to develop go-to-market plans and sales strategies to drive cloud business growth in UK&I. The role is responsible for accurate forecasting and driving sales results both by working closely with our customer base as well as expanding our footprint in the market. The VP of Sales leads by example, acts as a role model, maintains high standards in the sales team, as well as leading our Sales Account Managers. The role also works closely with field marketing, customer success, pre-sales, services organization, and partners to achieve the sales targets.

The Country Manager will provide leadership to the UK certified Information Security Management System (ISMS) through supporting its alignment with business strategy and ensuring sufficient resources are committed to its continuous improvement.

In this role, the VP of Sales and Country Manager is also responsible for managing Basware’s business in UK&I to meet financial targets, as well as customer and employee satisfaction targets. The Country Manager acts as the head of the country for our employees, which is more than 65 people today, and is the local company representative and spokesperson towards all external stakeholders including customers, government, media, and business partners. The role chairs the Country Leadership Team and is responsible for aligning plans and activities to execute Basware’s strategy locally.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Leadership:

You will be responsible for the day-to-day people management, driving and monitoring performance, and developing sales teams in a high-performing and professional sales environment. You will take a key role in driving change and acting as an ambassador for Basware both externally and internally.

Pipeline Management:

Ensure pipeline generation, coverage, and conversion targets are met. Take a key role in the local demand management process and work closely with local field marketing to plan and execute activities required to meet pipeline generation and sales targets.

Business Development & Alliances:

Liaison and influence together with the Business Development & Alliances team the development of relevant partnerships to further accelerate business results and create influence and leverage in our target markets and sectors.

Proposal Development:

Support sales team in proposal development to achieve quality and efficiency in the RFI and RFP development process. Ensure timely engagement of key stakeholders.

Customer Facing Activities:

Supports and develops his / her team in all customer-facing activities such as lead generation, sales calls, negotiations, and deal closing.

Acts as Basware’s primary contact in customer escalations working closely with the local teams, business areas, and global functions.

Sales Process:

Ensure that the team applies and shares best practices throughout the sales cycle and that the best sales strategies are always applied. Complies with Basware Sales Process to enable accurate and reliable pipeline management and forecasting.

Customer Communication:

Masters customer communication and presentations and is able to articulate value, strengthen relationships, resolve issues and facilitate change. Demonstrate deep knowledge of Basware’s value proposition and offering. Can clearly link our value proposition to customers' circumstances and business context.

Skills & Requirements
