Facility Layout Engineer, Program Team Campus Labs

We are looking for a driven Facility Layout Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our passionate Program Team team based in Västerås.  By joining us, you will be a key player in ramping up Campus Labs and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.  

About the job

You will have the overall responsible to manage and deliver layouts and drawings to project managers according to requirements.

You ideally have a few years of experience, either from construction design, production design or product design. This role will place you right in the cross-section of all three, coordinating everything that goes unto the factory floor and its interfaces with building and functions. We, the layout team, are the ones tying it all together; serving as spiders in the web we coordinate everything from operational requirements and process engineering to safety aspects and material logistic solutions.

Other key responsibilities:

  • Support the project managers to develop and clarify on 2D and 3D drawings process- and user requirements in detail, including hook-up points and other critical facility interfaces.
  • Develop facility layouts out from change requests from Project and Construction Managers, in order to enable change management.
  • Support Validation manager in change management process, to identify documents (I.e TUM, URS, RFP, drawings, etc) impacted by changes.
  • Perform constructability analyses regarding sequence and dimensions during equipment intake into factory
  • BIM coordination between process and building. Close collaboration with external engineering companies.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have:

  • ACC and Team Center for document control
  • NavisWorks and Autocad for both 2D and 3D
  • Good understanding on process- and material flows in manufacturing environment
  • A few years of experience in the tasks described
  • General understanding of facility design
  • Simulations of intake of equipment in 3D model
