Every year KTH Innovation supports 400 new ideas within many technology fields, from life science to ICT. Key activities in bringing these technologies closer to market is validate customer interest, commercial viability and market potential of a technology or business idea. For this we are in need of external consultants to support us and the teams and perform well defined short-time assignments. (ca 50 projects/year and a few weeks-months each project). Consultants will be hired by KTH Holding AB which manages the funding programs at KTH.
The goal of these consultancy assignments is typically market validation- to gather industry and customer feedback, assess the potential of the idea, and define suitable business models or commercialization strategies.
Some examples of typical activities for a consultant are:
· Identifying customers and application opportunities for a technology
· Verifying there is a need and interest for a technology and establish market contacts and collect customer/user/industry feedback via meetings and calls.
· Asses market potential, competition and barriers
· Investigate payment willingness among identified customer segments
· Define suitable commercialization strategy/business model/pricing model
The projects may be in different development phases ranging from early stage concepts to projects or companies with technology proof of concept, patented technology and pilot tests with customer. All projects have in common that they come from KTH and are based on innovative technology.
The assignments typically range from 40 KSEK-100 KSEK and run for 1-3 months.
The assignment is typically done in collaboration with the team and supported by one of our business development coaches.
