Sales business function is responsible for growing Basware's cloud revenue via new customer acquisition and driving expansion within a satisfied customer base. Through customer-centric selling and collaborative account management, we lead prospects & customers through the buying process with Basware, leveraging sales platforms including CRM, CPQ, and CLM that support managing the sales cycle.

The primary purpose of the Business Development & Alliance group is to support the ambitious growth goals of Basware through the development of alliances with strategic partners. By focusing on accelerating partner enablement, co-selling with partners, and developing services revenue opportunities for partners the team will create new opportunities for growth at Basware.
The position is based in Munich, Düsseldorf, or the home office. You will join a dynamic team made up of approximately forty marketing, sales, customer services, and corporate functions experts.
We are now looking for a Sales Manager, Partnership and Alliances to join our team.
The Sales Manager, Partnerships and Alliances in Germany is Basware’s primary point of contact to Advisory Firms and System Integrators when partnering with Basware. The Sales Manager is responsible for acquiring new global partnerships in the Advisory and System Integrators and representing Basware to our existing global partnerships in this same domain. The Sales Manager will ensure partner alignment from the executive team to the field, promote Basware capabilities with our partners, and drive business growth in the system integrators and advisory firms’ domain for Basware.
Key responsibilities
Selling with partners is a core part of Basware’s 2022 strategic corporate objectives. For this reason, the candidate will be joining a high-profile team dedicated to making the Basware BD&A department the most respected program in our vertical. The role will require a candidate with a start-up mentality and relevant experience working with partners in similar markets. As part of an experienced team including dedicated channel marketers and partner enablement professionals, the candidate will have the opportunity to develop and shape their program in the most appropriate way.
In this role, you will be responsible for Partnerships and Alliances in the German market, leveraging global colleagues, existing global partnerships, and also working closely with local sales management. Early success will be achieved by leveraging existing relationships to quickly establish a clear value proposition that differentiates Basware from the competition and maximizes value for both partners.
The ability to collaborate both internally and externally will be essential. Developing joint go-to-market models to achieve revenue growth with prospects that fit Basware’s ideal customer profile.
Collaboration and alignment with the direct sales team will be essential to your success. Becoming integral to the sales process whether through the delivery of new or influencing existing opportunities.
The success of the Alliances team will be dependent on the strength of the partner ecosystem and it will be a core part of the role to build a detailed knowledge of the partner capabilities and nurture their development. This will require securing executive sponsorship within the partner organization to help them understand and appreciate the benefits of a Basware relationship.
Building successful relationships with partners will require the active participation of both parties creating common goals and objectives in the form of a shared business plan. Influencing partner performance will require regular communication, consistent messaging, and offering frequent opportunities to further application knowledge through leveraging assets like online training. In summary, to ensure the best partner alliance experience the individual should focus on simplicity, ease of doing business, innovation, and consistency.
Your success in this role will be defined against mutually agreed goals and adjusted accordingly throughout the year to ensure expectations are realistic.
