Northvolt has an exciting Product Analyst internship opportunity to join our passionate Digitalization team in Stockholm. We believe that you are studying engineering or business and that you are either a graduate or a student. Preferably, you would also like to join us for full time employment after this internship period.

In joining the Digitalization team at Northvolt, you will be contributing to building one of the first large scale European battery factories, which will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

For this 6-month internship you will be part of the product management organization within the Digitalization team at Northvolt. As a Product Analyst you will be working closely with the Product Owner, UX Researcher and Developers within your team throughout the product development life cycle. You will assist in planning, communicating with relevant stakeholders and breaking down problems into functional requirements to enable the development of new features and products, but also improving existing ones.

During roll-out phases you will also support with testing features and training users on how to use our products. Essentially, you will make sure that the requirements from stakeholders are well understood and documented, as well as communicated to the engineering team to ensure proper execution.

At Northvolt, you quickly get the chance to personally and professionally develop by receiving your own responsibility areas and having the possibility to shape your role or product area as you go.

We do not expect you to be an expert in any of the areas mentioned below, but we highly value previous experience in the field of software development or product development in a software environment. Northvolt is a great place to learn and in the software team we have a fail fast approach where we encourage learning from our mistakes.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to understand customer, business and user needs and convey them into backlog items that enables the team delivery
  • Translate business requirements into functional requirements
  • Document and map process flows to enable the development of new features
  • Assist with testing and rollout phases
  • Ability to engage and communicate with stakeholders and users on varying levels throughout the organisation
  • Extract, aggregate and structure data to drive valuable insights

The person we are looking for is communicative and a great team player. If you are also goal oriented, curious and eager to learn that would make you a great fit in the team.

Our organization requires and values great self-discipline and a natural talent to make things happen. You will get the chance to have a real impact on our success story in Sweden (to start with) and see the results of your work. As a Product Analyst you will play a vital role in helping build products that are key to Northvolt's mission to enable the future of energy.

Apply with your CV and cover letter in English, or your complete LinkedIn profile.

Planned starting date is in January or earlier.

About the company

Northvolt makes green batteries for a blue planet. Affordable cells and high-quality battery systems. All manufactured with a record-low carbon footprint. Purposely built to provide Europe with the opportunity to switch to renewable energy – efficiently and entirely.

To accomplish this, we do things differently. We design, manufacture, and recycle everything under one roof. We even build our own factories. All this is incredibly challenging and requires us to think in unconventional ways. We’re constantly experimenting, learning and adapting to make batteries so great – they will one day make oil history.

Northvolt is growing fast. We’re staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs, in Västerås, as well as our Gdansk facility for production of battery systems. We're also hiring for our gigafactory Northvolt Ett in Skellefteå, Sweden. We want to work with smart individuals from all disciplines. Strong individuals that truly want to make a positive impact on the future. Those of us already on board share a passion for our mission. We’re prepared to work hard in pursuit of excellence. We enjoy the ride and our main drive is to make a difference for real. As a team, we’re dedicated to thinking new, working hard and having fun.
