About the Job

As a Requirement Manager, you will be part of the PMO team responsible for developing and driving the requirements, test-management processes, methods, and tools within the organization. You will support the engineering organisation in their daily requirements and test related work to comply with defined processes including efficient use of requirements and test management tools. Furthermore, you will work closely with each project manager and the project team members to identify bottlenecks and find solutions to reach key project milestones.

Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to owning and driving the requirements from the start-up of the project up until the start of production of batteries. You will be in charge of documenting, verifying and meeting the needs and expectation of the customer and our internal stakeholders. In short you will be a key player in driving our vision and projects forward.

About the team

You will be part of the Automotive and Foundry team and will work with all battery cell projects. You will have a senior project manager as a mentor to grow your skills and develop yourself as a person. The role reports to the Project Management Office manager within the Customer Programs team.

About You

The person we are looking for, is someone with a background from the automotive, portable or other technology driven industries in product development or industrialization. Secondly it is important for the requirement manager to have valuable experience in requirement engineering and enjoy working in a fast-pace and everchanging environment. You will be based in Västerås, Sweden, 1 hour west of Stockholm. Company arranged commuting is available.

Key Responsibilitie Include but are not limited to

  • Build up requirements-/test-engineering organization to support a fast moving product development organization.

  • Implement optimal requirements and test case/results architecture as part of the product development cycle.

  • Providing guidance to other engineering functions on the creation, linking, reviewing, results collection of requirements and test cases/results.

  • Report project based KPIs related to requirements and tests at gate reviews.

  • Develop an automated and reusable requirements/test platform to increase the product development efficiency across projects.

  • Assist, oversee and lead product development with an agile requirements/test process.

  • Hold training sessions for project members in requirement and test management processes and tools with focus on setting global project standards/processes and strategies.

Skills & Requirements


  • A Degree in Mechatronics/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Computing, Software Engineering or similar.
  • 5+ years in design and development of products, with focus on setting up processes and requirements-/test-management tool.
  • Experience in using requirements-/test-management tools like Polarion, DOORS or similar.
  • Passionate in solving complex problems with technology in a simple yet innovative way.
  • Experience working across the full engineering lifecycle.
  • Proven experience of working in product development of safety critical embedded / mechatronic systems.
  • Experience of Functional Safety standards (IEC 61508, ISO 26262, ISO13849, EN 50218, IEC 62061) is an advantage.
  • Programming skills related to interfacing requirements/test management tools is an advantage.

Specific skills (e.g. specific programmes, languages, certifications etc.)

  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills, with experience of delivery to a variety of internal and external stakeholders of varying seniorities.
  • High proficiency in influencing and leading requirements and design decisions, both internally and within a customer environment.
  • Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
