Born out of research
Our new screening method identifies children with reading and writing difficulties so that appropriate measures can be taken early. The method is based on over 25 years of scientific research on how dyslexia (reading disorders) manifests itself in eye movements. Optolexia is the outcome of a governmentally funded innovations project and founded with support from the Innovations Department of Karolinska Institutet (KI), where the company founders are active (Marianne Bernadotte Centre).
Our work space is in the centre of Stockholm as a part of the start up community SUP46. Our main market is still Sweden, but we will expand to other countries during the year to come (USA, UK, France, Dubai…).
Our mission is to create the best tools for the early and accurate identification of children with reading difficulties, so that it does not hamper their education and future career. We want to contribute to a raised level of knowledge in schools, and give more children the benefits of the written word. Every child with reading and writing difficulties should receive early support. Each day that passes without a child with difficulties receives support is a lost day. Early intervention is crucial.
Optolexia firmly believes that diversity creates a modern, humanistic workplace. We welcome all applicants regardless of gender, gender identity, age, physical functionality, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion or other belief systems.
