Greenely is a startup company from KTH (Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan) developing the next generation visualization service for energy consumption. By using our mobile application, households will get an overview of their energy consumption and personal feedback on their energy behavior with minimum effort and no hardware installations. The Greenely app uses learning algorithms that track and analyze the households’ energy behavior and adapts accordingly. Through in depth and tailored analysis, gamification and comparison with neighbors, the households will be incentivized and nudged towards a decreased energy consumption. The service uses information from smart meters that are already installed in the majority of Swedish households. This means no extra hardware is required and enables a big spread of the product in Sweden, Europe, the US and other markets where advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) is rapidly increasing.
January 2014Greenely was founded at KTH with the help of KTH Innovation. The company is a master thesis spin-off. We participated with the business idea in the national innovation competition 'Venture Cup' and reached the regional finals.
February 2014Greenely was accepted to KTH Innovation’s Student Inc. gaining access to a dedicated business coach, some funds, guidance from the partner network and office spaces. Greenely gained its first customer showing the great potential for our solution.
October 2014Greenely was accepted to the European energy accelerator KIC InnoEnergy giving us access to great office spaces at a newly renovated building by KTH, access to funds, a great European network in the field of energy and great guidance for our business.
February 2015Greenely will begin a pilot project with one of the largest power utilities in Sweden.
