It all started when childhood friends Arta Mandegari and Salman Eskandari studied at Chalmers in Gothenburg. They volunteered evenings and weekends, offering free maths lessons to children from Gothenburg`s suburbs. After graduation, they chose different career paths in management and finance.
In 2015, they decided to pick up where they left off at Chalmers. They resigned from their jobs and put everything into creating what would become Albert.
Albert started with a clear goal – to democratize knowledge through technology. This also drives us today. At present, over 300,000 families have chosen Albert as their digital maths teacher, a trust of which we are very proud.
2015Albert was founded with main focus on schools
2019Albert junior was released as a mobile app and focuse changed into b2c market
201910.000 subscribers - we reached a milestone!
2020Albert expands and goes into Norway, Denmark and Poland!
2021Albert entered the stockmarket and acquired Jaramba and Sumdog
2022At present, over 300,000 families in 7 different countries have chosen Albert as their digital math teacher, a trust we are very proud of!
2022Albert expands and enters Finland
2022Albert acquired three more companies Strawbees, Swedish film and Holy Owly. We are now on our way to become the biggest edTech company in Europe!
