What is personal data and what is personal data processing?
Any information that can be linked directly or indirectly to a natural, living person is considered personal data, and all actions taken in connection with personal data are considered to be personal data processing.
Where does Kappahl retrieve your personal data?
For certain positions, we may collect information regarding your credit rating from credit rating agencies, banks or public records businesses. We will specify if this is done in the specific job advertisement.
Will Kappahl share my information with third parties?
Yes, we share your personal data with data processors, and in certain cases, specified in this privacy policy, with an independent data controller. We will only share your personal data with a data processor if it is absolutely necessary, and contracts are in place that strictly regulate how your data can be processed. Data processors are required to guarantee the security of the personal data they process and undertake, inter alia, to comply with our security requirements as well as restrictions and requirements regarding the international transfer of personal data. Our data processors assist us with the recruitment process and are required not to further share your personal data with others.
Independent data controllers may also receive your personal information. In that case, we are not the responsible party in terms of how your personal data is processed, rather, the independent data controller and privacy policy of such controller applies. The independent data controllers we share your data with, are relevant union representatives, and counterparty representatives, such as legal counsels and/or courts of law.

Your rights
Access to, rectification and deletion of your personal data
You are entitled to access information regarding the content of the personal data we process, and you are entitled to request a correction if any information is found to be inaccurate. Under certain circumstances, you may have personal data deleted or restricted, for example, if you have not given your consent or you have withdrawn your consent.
Withdrawal of consent
If we process your personal data with your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent with immediate effect.
Limitation of processing of your personal data
In certain cases, you have the right to demand that the processing of your personal data be limited. By "limited" is meant that the data is flagged so that it in future may only be processed for certain limited purposes.

- Sharing of personal data with relevant union representatives, and counterparty representatives, such as legal counsels and/or courts of law

Where does Kappahl process the personal data?
The personal data will be transferred to and stored within the European Union.
How long is my personal data saved?
The personal data will automatically be removed after 24 months from application date. If you want to have your information removed before, please send an email to [email protected].
